The military aerospace ecosystem in India is at an inflection point courtesy of the modernization requirements and the indigenization initiative opening up billions of dollars worth of opportunities. The Primus report “Military Aerospace in India: Thrusting for the Afterburner” highlights the opportunities across the major segments as well as the evolving supply chain comprising Indian companies. Capabilities and capacities are being worked upon, and while there are various initiatives at every level that are further creating an enabling ecosystem, there are a few areas that require interventions and need to be addressed. The report highlights the fact that four Indian states put forward a compelling case for becoming aerospace hubs. Hence, the report also ideates for a “One region, one segment” approach basis supply chain strengths.
