India nears duty-free access to EU markets
15-10-2025
Nilaya Varma, Group CEO and Co-Founder of Primus Partners, shares his view that the FTAs with European nations will strengthen India’s export diversification and partially offset the impact of elevated tariff barriers in the US market. He highlights that the India–US trade relationship remains pivotal, given the United States’ continued importance as a key destination for Indian pharmaceuticals, engineering goods, gems and jewellery, textiles, automotive components, IT/ITeS, and Global Capability Centre (GCC) services.
