AI is not here to steal your job; it’s creating new roles with lucrative pay
02-Dec-2024
Charu Malhotra, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Primus Partners, shares her view on the growing demand for specialized talent and its impact on salaries. Roles like AI engineers, ML specialists, and data scientists are commanding 20-40% higher salaries compared to traditional software developers or IT professionals. Malhotra emphasizes that job creation will increasingly rely on the availability of skilled professionals. To meet this demand, she highlights that educational institutions must incorporate not only AI but also 12 other emerging technologies—such as IoT, robotics, AR/VR, ML, Big Data, data analytics, cloud computing, cybersecurity, blockchain, Metaverse, Web 3.0, and 3D modeling—into their programs over the next five years.
