Kanishk Maheshwari, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Primus Partners shares his opnion on the significant progress made by the Government of India in enhancing the business environment over the past decade. Initiatives such as Make in India, Ease of Doing Business (EoDB), the Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP), and the Jan Vishwas Acts have streamlined procedures, digitized regulatory processes, eliminated outdated laws, and decriminalized minor civil offences.
These reforms have notably improved the government-business interface. However, creating a truly conducive business ecosystem requires more than just regulatory ease; it also relies on industries consistently adhering to these regulations. While businesses have diligently embraced these reforms, it is crucial for the government to recognize their efforts and introduce incentives for compliance.
