This week’s headline features a story from Africa: The Serum Institute of India shipped its first batch of the R21/Matrix-M malaria vaccine to several African countries, addressing high child mortality rates. Developed with Oxford University and Novavax, the vaccine boasts high efficacy and safety, with SII planning to produce 100 million doses annually.
