With its recent inclusion into the Olympic Games, and a rich heritage in India, there has been a growing interest in Golf. Often associated with being an elite sport Golf has a relatively small national presence with the few numbers of Indian pro golfers. Currently at its nascent stage Golf has to potential to grow through support and hand-holding provided by the government to become a multi-billion dollar business opportunity. The webinar conducted included stalwarts and experts from the Golf Industry, Golf Tourism Industry and the Government of India to discuss golf as a sport and the economy associated with it. The discussion centered around how a previously niche sport may be further enhanced and the industry may be nurtured.
