Primus Partners, in its latest report titled “Powering the $5 Trillion Dream: The FINESSE Framework for Entrepreneurial Education Could Generate 2.8 Lakh New Jobs”, highlights the urgent need for India to invest in entrepreneurial education to harness its demographic dividend and drive sustainable economic growth.
The report introduces the FINESSE Framework - a structured, scalable model tested through programs like iStart School - designed to foster entrepreneurial mindsets, encourage local innovation, and connect students with real-world mentors, networks, and funding opportunities.
Aligned with NEP 2020, the FINESSE Framework provides a phased roadmap to guide students from entrepreneurial curiosity to startup creation. It makes a compelling case for treating entrepreneurial education as a core, multidisciplinary subject - not an optional extra - and starting early, ideally between ages 14–16.
Key findings reveal a strong stakeholder appetite for this shift:
• 78% of students surveyed believe entrepreneurship holds strong career value.
• A majority of students and educators advocate for entrepreneurship to be taught at par with maths and science, emphasizing hands-on, real-world learning experiences.
• The report forecasts that scaling the FINESSE Framework across India’s schools could generate 2,800 student-led startups and 2.8 lakh new jobs.
