With over 1,900 gaming companies and a workforce of 1.3 lakh professionals, the industry is seeing AI shift from a supporting tool to the core engine behind game development enabling dynamic storytelling, intelligent NPCs, and hyper-personalized experiences.
The report also highlights challenges including funding gaps, talent shortages, and ethical concerns, while calling for responsible innovation, inclusive design, and supportive regulation to help India lead globally in AI-driven gaming.
