‘Harit Manthan 2026 – National Hackathon’ was conceived as a national platform for students to develop innovative, practical, and scalable solutions for ecology maintenance and the sustainable development of urban green spaces. The Hackathon was organized by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in collaboration with the Udhmodya Foundation, the startup ecosystem of the University of Delhi, and held in New Delhi on 17th-18th April 2026.
Primus Partners led the initiative end-to-end: from ideation and programme design to on-ground execution. This included designing the challenge framework, curating the jury, structuring the evaluation process, and coordinating with the partner institution.
The Hackathon witnessed enthusiastic participation, with approximately 50 teams representing 31 colleges across 7 states competing across two challenge tracks: Technology and Policy. Twenty shortlisted teams presented their solutions before an eminent jury panel, including Mr. Avijit Dhar, Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, Primus Partners. The top three teams were awarded seed funding of ₹10 lakh each by the DDA, along with opportunities for pilot implementation within DDA-managed parks. In addition, seven other teams were granted incubation support to further develop their solutions.
The inaugural session of the Hackathon was graced by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Sardar Taranjit Singh Sandhu, whose vision for sustainable urban development and institutional collaboration is closely aligned with the objectives of the Hackathon.
Primus remains firmly committed to expanding and deepening this initiative in the years ahead, building a robust and self-sustaining pipeline of ideas that contribute to a greener, more resilient Delhi.
