Government plans annual and life-time toll passes for pvt cars plying on NHs

A recent report by Primus Partners and Think Infra, released by Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport & Highways, highlighted that GNSS-based tolling would significantly improve traffic flow, reducing delays and cutting travel time by 20–30%, saving around 8–10 minutes per toll point. The report estimated substantial environmental benefits, including a reduction of 50 lakh tonnes of carbon emissions annually, along with fuel cost savings of approximately Rs 12,000 crore per year.
