Primus Partners, in collaboration with the Grain Ethanol Manufacturers Association (GEMA) and the Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE), organised a roundtable to discuss the future of India’s Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) Programme — a key driver of the country’s clean energy transition. The discussion centred on strengthening ethanol’s role in enhancing energy security, boosting rural incomes, and supporting climate goals, while addressing challenges around feedstock supply, pricing mechanisms, and long-term industry viability. The roundtable also marked the launch of the ‘Thought Leadership Report,’ which outlines a strategic roadmap for advancing grain-based ethanol production through policy alignment, stakeholder collaboration, and sustainable growth initiatives.
