Centre, states map own routes to clean mobility

Nikhil Dhaka, Vice President, Primus Partners, highlights that India’s current policy favors battery electric vehicles (BEVs) over hybrids, offering limited incentives for the latter. He suggests this could be a missed opportunity, as hybrids can immediately cut fuel use and emissions while the country works on strengthening its EV infrastructure. Only a few states like Delhi and Uttarakhand currently support hybrid adoption
