Carmakers revive iconic nameplates to break market clutter, boost consumer connect

Anurag Singh, Advisor, Primus Partners, highlighted that in an increasingly crowded marketplace, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) gain a clear advantage by leveraging established brands. He noted that with numerous OEMs offering multiple models, brand strength becomes critical for differentiation, making it prudent to reuse brands where strong equity already exists and where the brand persona aligns with the new product.
