In our latest report, ‘Beyond Boundaries: India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) Model for Global Progress’, Primus Partners and iSPIRT unveil 11 DPI recommendations to turbocharge the Global South’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) roadmap—particularly at a time when only 12–17% of SDGs are on track to be achieved by 2030.
The 11 recommendations for the Global South emphasize interoperability, open standards, and citizen-first principles; ensuring accessibility, inclusivity, localization, and data sovereignty in DPI; ensuring cost-effectiveness in DPI development; enhancing data accessibility for successful DPI implementation; and strengthening R&D, data exchange, and educational initiatives to drive DPI success.
While the recommendations address government concerns such as data sovereignty and citizens’ data privacy amidst increasing technological penetration, they also explore how the private sector can integrate open-source APIs of the India Stack to capitalize on the booming digital economy. Fintech and e-commerce companies are expanding their reach into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, driven by the adoption of a unified digital infrastructure that supports identity verification, seamless payments, and secure data sharing.
