On July 26, 2024, the inaugural Stakeholder Consultation on "Realizing AVGC-XR Potential in Rajasthan" was held in Jaipur. The event was organized by the Department of Information Technology & Communication (DoIT&C), Government of Rajasthan, with Primus Partners serving as consulting partners. This landmark event aimed to explore and unlock the vast opportunities within the AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality), Robotics and Coding sectors in Rajasthan and establish the state as a global hub for AVGC-XR innovation.
The session brought together industry leaders, government officials, and key stakeholders to discuss the potential of these burgeoning sectors. Notable speakers included: Ms. Arti Dogra, Secretary, DOIT&C, Sh. Inderjeet Singh, Commissioner and Special Secretary, DOIT&C, Mr. Biren Ghose, Head of CII AVGC-XR Taskforce & India Head, Technicolor, Mr. Ashish Kulkarni, Chairman, FICCI AVGC-XR Forum & Founder, Punnaryug Artvision, Mr. Munjal Shroff, CEO, Graphiti Multimedia, Mr. Rajat Ojha, CEO, Gamitronics, Ms. Mabelle Sawaqed, COO, Centre for Entertainment Arts, Mr. Ganesh Mahabala, Director – Strategic Business, HPC & AI Supercomputing, Nvidia and other various experts from diverse fields.
The discussion was adeptly moderated by Mr. Sameer Jain, Managing Director, Primus Partners, a leading expert in technology and innovation. These industry leaders, along with a diverse array of experts, provided invaluable insights and laid the groundwork for future advancements in AVGC-XR.
The meeting highlighted Rajasthan's potential to become a key hub for AVGC-XR industries, driven by its growing infrastructure and favourable policies. Significant interest from national and international investors promises numerous growth and collaboration opportunities. The Rajasthan government is committed to supporting these sectors with favourable policies, funding, and infrastructure. There is a strong emphasis on specialized training programs to build a skilled workforce, alongside encouraging partnerships between industry players and educational institutions to foster innovation.
Key outcomes included establishing strategic collaborations, signing MOUs for skill development, launching Skilling and Coding Centres of Excellence, and exploring exciting media and entertainment opportunities, including Rajasthan-centric series for OTT platforms.
The meet concluded with a call to action for stakeholders to collaborate closely to harness Rajasthan’s full potential in these dynamic fields, followed by a lunch.
