The Second Edition of the Build India Infra Awards 2025 honored India’s most outstanding infrastructure projects, recognizing impact, innovation, and sustainability across key sectors. With significant participation, the awards highlighted engineering marvels that are shaping India's journey toward world-class infrastructure. Primus Partners, India’s largest home-grown consulting services firm, served as the Knowledge Partner, ensuring a rigorous selection process. The nominees presented their projects, and this was followed by two rounds of deliberation among a distinguished jury comprising of IAS officers, MDs, and CEOs of leading companies to evaluate them. The awards were founded by Shri Vaibhav Dange (Public Policy Expert on Infrastructure, Green Fuels & Sustainable Mobility) and the first edition was held in January 2024.
The Build India Infra Awards 2025 recognized and celebrated excellence in infrastructure development, spotlighting 4 key sectors from Edition 1 2024 viz. roads and highways, railways, ports, airports and 3 new sectors introduced in the Edition 2 namely urban transport, water infrastructure, power transmission that have made significant contributions to India's growth story. In addition to these 7 sectors, Edition 2 of Build India Infra Awards had instituted a special category – “Trailblazing infrastructure” which aimed to provide a platform to showcase projects which are the” Pride of India”.
The keynote addresses by Shri Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation and Hon’ble Shri Amitabh Kant, India’s G20 Sherpa were some of the many highlights of the event. The video messages of Hon’ble Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Hon’ble Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari and Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways appreciating and acknowledging the platform that Build India Infrastructure Awards provides for infrastructure players to showcase innovative, impactful and sustainable solutions, practices and projects. The Fire side chat named “Highway pe charcha” with Hon’ble Minister of State for Road Transport Highways & Company Affairs, Shri Harsh Malhotra brought out some of the notable achievements of the Roads and Highways Department in India.
Mr. Davinder Pal Sandhu, Co-Founder & Chairperson of Primus Partners, served as one of the members of the jury panel. Mr. Sandhu delivered the Vote of thanks to Shri Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation while also commending the awards for evolving with India's infrastructure landscape. He stated that this edition of Awards has seen remarkable new elements reflecting the sector’s transformation. He also added that with the Government’s capital expenditure allocation taking shape, we are witnessing a paradigm shift in how projects are being executed.
The event also had two panel discussions with very eminent panellists. The first panel discussion between Shri. UP Singh, Former Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakthi, Shri. RP Singh, Former CMD, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd and Shri Vishwas Pathak, Director Maharashtra Discom focused on “India's Water and Power Sector Transformation fuelled by Technology and Sustainability”. The second panel discussion was on the topic “Towards Viksit Bharat@2047: Infrastructure an enabler towards Economic Acceleration” comprising of the following panellists - Smt Ekta Ghosh, CDO, Adani Airports Holding Ltd, Shri. Prakash Gaud, CEO National Highway Logistics Management Company and Shri Senthil Kumar Subramaniam, CEO, Dakshin Bharat Gateway Terminal Pvt. Ltd.
