The Climate and Health Solutions India Conclave, hosted by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) and Asian Development Bank (ADB), was held on September 25-26, 2024. This event aimed to promote climate-resilient health sector development. It brought together 330 participants, including 19 state governments, 60+ private organizations, and key institutions like MoEFCC, NDMA, ICMR, and IMD.
Senior guests included Shri Amitabh Kant, G20 Sherpa; Shri Apurva Chandra, Secretary MoHFW; Ms. Leena Nandan, Secretary MoEFCC, Ms. Ayako Inagaki, Senior Director ADB; Dr Eduardo Banzon, Director Health ADB; Dr. Abhijit Mitra Animal Husbandry Commissioner; and Dr. Dinesh Arora, Principal Health Specialist ADB.

With 8 expert-led roundtable sessions, the event focused on addressing the dual challenges of climate change and public health by fostering collaboration between policymakers, experts, and stakeholders. Solutions and innovations in health systems, infrastructure, and supply chains were showcased, emphasizing adaptation and resilience strategies for India’s health sector.
