4th CII Summit FX- Global AVGC & Immersive Media Summit

Sameer Jain, Managing Director, Primus Partners engaged in an insightful session on Indian creative talent, focusing on the existing skill gaps and its implications for the global market at the 4th CII Summit FX- Global AVGC & Immersive Media Summit with industry leaders.

In the session, he highlighted the pressing need for a holistic approach for skill development, emphasizing the significance of incorporating deep-rooted crafts-based skills like arts, drama, and music into the educational fabric of schools and colleges. He eloquently discussed how the AVGC sector, unlike traditional IT/ITES industries confined to specific cities, has the potential to flourish across geographies.

The rich tapestry of stories that India offers from every corner of the country - be it Manipur, Ladakh, Bihar, or beyond - can be harnessed to fuel the growth of the industry. By leveraging skilling as a crucial element within the broader strategy, states can attract industry players, encourage them to set up shop in diverse locations and showcase local narratives to a global audience. This transformative perspective underscores how skilling acts as the cornerstone of industry evolution, weaving together creativity, culture, and economic prosperity.

Some notable attendees were Mohit Soni, CEO of Media and Entertainment Skills Council, Manvendra Shukul, CEO of Lakshya Digital, Ashish Kulkarni, Founder of Punnaryug Artvision and Vikrant Kapur, VP HR APAC of  Technicolor Creative Studios.
